The UNESCO Chair on Science Diplomacy and Scientific Heritage and the National Library of Mexico at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), in collaboration with the Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences (SIFHAMS) at the University of Sharjah, are organizing:
2nd International Symposium of the UNESCO Chair on Science Diplomacy and Scientific Heritage
SYMPOSIUM THEME
The symposium aims to delve into the scientific and cultural heritage of diverse regions, focusing on their contributions to universal knowledge and the role of scientific heritage in reinforcing cultural identity. As a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue on scientific heritage, the symposium will particularly emphasize the exchange of knowledge and wisdom across cultural boundaries, including the Arab and Latin American regions.
It brings scholars from all over the world to advance the conversation about scientific heritage in the South, advancing preparation for common research and teaching projects, and bringing scientific communities from Mexico, UAE, Latin America and the Middle East closer together.
In so doing, the event intends to start a conversation of experts in emerging areas while establishing lines of teaching and research:

We invite you to participate in our poster session, an opportunity to showcase your research and innovations. This session aims to highlight the latest advancements and foster discussions on key themes in science and technology.
Posters will be displayed on November 28th in the exhibit hall of the National Library of Mexico. They can be set up the afternoon before and must be removed after the session ends.

How to Submit
- Abstract Format: Abstracts should be concise, no more than 300 words, and include a title, authors, affiliations, and a summary of the research or project.
- Submission Process: Submit your abstract via email to diplomaciacientifica.mx@gmail.com. Please ensure that your submission adheres to the provided guidelines.
- Selection Criteria: All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a committee, and selections will be based on the relevance to the symposium’s themes, the quality of research, and the clarity of the abstract.
Additional Information: Accepted poster presenters will receive detailed instructions on poster setup, presentation logistics, and tips to maximize engagement with the audience. Presenters must be available to present on the assigned day and time.
